I need your help.
Today, I found out that I am allowed to paint my new classroom.
Woo Hoo!!
I found a neat tool on the Sherwin-Williams website.
You can upload a photo of the space you want to paint, select the wall areas and colors for each, and then virtually paint those areas! So, you can see what your room will look like!
Here’s what my room looks like right now (try to picture this without the other teacher’s stuff in it…she’s moving it out even as I type this)…

I used the first picture as my template and selected three different colors to “dress up” the room…

I would like a more neutral color so posters and kids art work show up more.
WOW… those are some bright colors… would keep the kiddos awake.
i’m partial to greens though – soothing… & with a name like Rickey… I had to vote for that for my hubs! 😉 It really is my favorite though.
Keep in mind that color plays a BIG role in the behavior of students. Based on my years in the classroom, I would definitely stay away from yellow and orange.
At first, yellow popped into my mind before I saw the pictures. But, that’s a really bright yellow! 😀

I just found out I could paint my room today….im trying to decide as well…feel like those colors are pretty bright…..i saw a room at my old school that had a light violet color…it was so calming and you felt so happy when you went in.
My problem is I have a turquoise colored cabinet lining the wall and these huge patches of colored tile on the floor like red orange, green, and blue….
