AuburnChick Needs Your Input!

On Monday, I will be teaching a couponing class to a group of ladies I formerly worked with.

They recently caught wind of my shopping adventures, and they want in on the fun!

I am in the process of making an outline of topics that I want to cover.  I am wondering what, besides the basic how-to’s of couponing, to include in my outline.

If you were going to attend a coupon session with me, what are some things you would want to know?

Do you understand what “stacking” is?  Do you know the difference between manufacturer and store coupons?  Are these things I should plan on explaining?

Your input is very important to me and will help me prepare adequately for Monday evening’s shindig.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

  1. I would want to know:

    • how to organize coupons
    • websites for coupons
    • websites with tips
    • any “secrets” of couponing
    • where to find the best coupons/samples

  2. I have no idea what stacking is… I do not coupon… (don’t hate me! I can never remember to take them with me)…. with that said, tips on how to collect them and keep them in a manner that makes them easy to take and use would be great for those there who are like me!

  3. I don’t regularly use coupons either 😦 I try but I always forget – even when they’re in my wallet! By the time I realize i have them they’re expired.
I would want to know how to better integrate the coupons with my shopping list. It seems that most people who use coupons end up buying only what they have coupons for. I’ve found that most coupons are usually for boxed and canned foods so I don’t end up saving a lot of money. The protein, veggies, and fruit – which are usually what costs the most when shopping – don’t have as many coupons. To save money on these items I have to scour the grocery fliers for sales to know which store to go to . In theory coupons are great, but it’s not very helpful if only 2 or 3 items that I need for the week have coupons. I find it’s not worth the effort to find the coupon, clip it and remember to bring it along just to save a couple of dollars. When I do remember my coupons, I find that I ends up buying things just because I have a coupon when I don’t really need them.
I also have no clue what stacking is. And what’s this no doubling business I always hear about?
Unfortunately I don’t have a friend who’s an expert on couponing like you are to take me to the store and help me. I wish I could attend your class!

  4. I have no idea what stacking is, but I do know the difference between manufacturer and store coupons! I know you’re so proud of me!
Here’s what I would want to know: How do you save so much when everytime I try to use a coupon, the store brand is cheaper than the name brand even with the coupon? I know that there are some times when a store brand just won’t do!

  5. I know what those things are ONLY because I’ve been here & heard you talk about it before… if these ladies are new, you may want to go over the basics like that… if they already know, then you’ll just re-inforce it..

Have fun showing the ladies how to save! That’s awesome!!!

  6. Being relatively new to couponing, my question would be how to organize everything. I’m lucky to have Coupon Queen nearby to tell me what to buy, but without her I am still often lost in the isles.

This is such a great idea! Good luck. I know you’ll be such a blessing to all who attend.

  7. No clue what stacking is.
I want to know how to get all my groceries for free!
    haha!
    good luck! have fun!
