Kangaroo on the Loose

Y’all, something I never thought I’d see in the news made the news last week . . .

Yep. That’s a kangaroo hopping down I85 not too far from where I live.

The news reported that this little one is someone’s fur baby. It took advantage of an opportunity and made for the hills.

In the process, two cars collided. I can only imagine the insurance representatives’ reactions when they get the reports for this fender bender.

I don’t know about you, but I have questions.

Who in the world has a pet kangaroo? Like, what kind of wildlife permit do you get for this?

How is this little one being housed?

How did the kangaroo get here to begin with?

Between this little escape artist and a gas leak that shut down quite a few streets near campus, last Tuesday was one hot mess of a day.

  1. We have a person about 2 miles away from us that have 2 TIGERS… I’d rather a kangaroo get loose than this guys pets! LOL

    • That’s crazy!! I worked in the permitting office of the Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission in Florida when the hubby and I were first married (after we moved to Florida), and the animals people would get permits for was mind boggling. I feel badly for the animals, quite honestly.

  2. I also had a lot of questions myself!! I would love to go see the owners and pet the kangaroo!!

Thank you for visiting today and taking the time to leave a comment!
