Dear Chicky,

Today is your 24th birthday.

Although you’re grown up now, birthdays are still special around here…hence the shout-out to you in my little corner of the internet.

I’m so proud of the life you are creating for yourself.  You are excelling in your teaching career; I’m always amazed at how well you handle your classes and your students’ special needs.

I love that you aren’t afraid to set new goals and steer your life in directions others may not see you traveling.

You inspire me with your fearlessness and the way you sometimes refuse to conform.  Walking to the beat of your own drummer is something that we all need to do every now and again.

I treasure you for the unique young woman that you are.  Truly, you are a blessing to me.
