Joyce has posted some Spring-themed questions this week!  Thankfully, they didn’t require a lot of brainpower to answer.  My brain is tired these days and eagerly awaiting Spring Break, which is looming around the corner.  Now, on to the questions!

1.  March 20th is the first day of spring…is she a lion or a lamb in your part of the world?

Spring is coming in like a lamb this year.  The weather is still a bit cool, much to the chagrin of the Spring Breakers that frequent our beaches, but the skies have been sunny.  I can’t wait for Spring Break next week.  I’m going to drive to my favorite yarn store, an hour and a half away, and indulge in a bit of yarny goodness.

2.  What’s the most dreaded task on your spring clean to-do list?  Do you have a ‘plan of attack’?

I’ve never done “spring cleaning,” per se.  If I feel like cleaning, I do.  If not, I don’t.  I imagine that my house will be very clean next week since I’ll be home every day to keep up with it.  The plan is simply to vacuum a couple of times and maybe dust.  I keep a no-frills home around here.

3.  Peas…love ’em or hate ’em?  What’s a favorite dish you make using peas?

Field peas?  Love.  Straight from the garden.  Green peas?  Could do without.  I do like split pea soup though.  That’s my favorite dish to use peas in.

4.  Do you feel under appreciated?

Ha!  What timing!  I’ve had a ROUGH two weeks as far as people being rude to me goes.  My head, though, knows that most people do value me, even though my heart breaks every time someone lies or says something so outlandishly rude that my jaw drops.

Under appreciated?  Not really.  A doormat?  Yeah.  I’m starting to stick up for myself though, and my friends are beside me helping me focus on what really matters, which is not those people who seek only to elevate themselves by putting me down.

5.  Have you been using Google Reader?  If so, what are you switching to now that GR has announced retirement?  If not, how do you read your favorite blogs?

Although I have not been keeping up with my blog reading of late (so sorry to all of you, but my job is horrendously crazy right now), Google Reader is my RSS feed of choice.  I’ve been a bit out of the loop regarding its demise, so I am grateful that Joyce posted her link to Bloglovin.  I signed up, and my feeds have already been transferred.

6.  Anne Bradstreet is credited with the following quote~

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant;  if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.” 

Agree or Disagree?  Why?

I agree.  I think that we become complacent when life is treating us well.  It’s only when we face difficult times that we recognize the good things.  I think that adversity also helps us remember that we can do NOTHING without God’s help.  Adversity keeps us humble.

Hmmm.  This is a good reminder for me given my answer to #4.

7.  When did you last ‘spring for something’?  What was it?
