“…For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”
Jeremiah 29:11
This is a verse I am holding on to during my long season of semi-unemployment. Once again, I did not get a job I interviewed for…the subbing position at the Christian school (the one I told you about yesterday).
I am choosing to look at the positives…
- God loves me and has my best interest at heart.
- I put my name and face out there and received very good feedback from the principal who interviewed me.
- I have subbing assignments already lined up for Tuesday through Friday next week. I was going to have to cancel these because long-term assignments trump one-day gigs, but now I won’t have to.
- I don’t have to be concerned about getting off of work early on Wednesday. This is the day Chicky has her signing ceremony at school. I will already be there, so that takes care of one thing on my to-do list.
Sounds like I’m reaching for straws, eh?
Not really. You see, I’m learning that complaining doesn’t do anything but make me miserable. It certainly doesn’t improve a situation. I know that I am doing everything I can to find a regular teaching job.
Even though some people may believe that subbing isn’t a “real” job, I have never treated it as anything but THE job. I have always given my responsibilities 110% no matter what the job title or pay scale.
I have often been over-qualified for the positions I’ve held, but I’ve always taken pride in my work. I realize that I can use my skills to glorify God no matter where I am.
And so, I continue to trust.
It’s not always easy, but I’ve made the decision, and I’ll stick to it no matter how disappointed I may get.
God will provide.

Awww…so sweet!!! Thank you!!
Dear Child of God,
I was reading some of the things on your web page and the Spirit Of God quicken a message for me to give to you. He wanted me to tell you that, He is waiting for you at the “secret place”.(Ps.91) He says He cannot be found through any of the multiple activities he sees you laboring at. In the secret place (within you)there is rest, there is the anointing that will give wings to all your desires, desires that He will give you and fulfill as you set your heart to seek him as you seek Him with the same strength as you found what you have now. He wants to show you how to lift all your burdons with one finger, and at the same time be filled for the rest of you life. He wants you to be able to go and pray for the people who contact you. Not just pray for them to die peaceful deaths. Especially if they are not saved. Especially, if they do not knwo him. Their fate will be far worse than the one they are leaving. When “I have healed them from the cross” says the Lord. Jesus wants you to know that he sees your sorrow, and wants to teach you how to pray for yourself WITH THE ANOINTING! You must deepen your relationship with him or continue to face hardship with mere words of self-encouragement that will not rise you above the present world. In fact, the scripture in Jeremiah that you should be looking to is Jer.29:12. Did you know that you can program your spiritman to pray in silence to the Lord, (by reading the Word out loud “softly” to yourself) and the Word that you program your spirit to pray on will be answered by the Father in the secret place? You must find it! The Word is near you already…Put it first!! How do you do that? You can best answer that. How much time do you spend reading the Word, studying it, meditating upon it. How many people have you lead to Jesus? Are you filled witht he Spirit? Remember that the Father’s voice is silent, it has no sound, or noise… but with it comes the anointing! Gen.3:8-10.I Kgs.19:11.Ex.19:19, 23:20-22. He knows you cannot get this from any other source than Him. He wants you to come to the place that is above beleiving. Where the Lord spoke of “nothing doubting”. If you walk by faith, then you are lead by the Spirit. if you are lead by the Spirit all your need is met and you will before long be a blessing to others in true abundance. It takes a little time but with the Lord he can do a lot of small things in a big way until he can do a big thing in small ways. Conform to this (Rom.8:29) and you will no longer conform to your present mind (Rom.12:2). You must be transformed by the revelation of Jesus as the man, the Savior, the Son of God and King in order to be conformed to His will for you. Look in the Word like you are looking for coupons, and you will see the pearl of great price. I will be praying that the eyes of your understanding be opened to see past all the hurt, which is all you can receive from this world. And BE HOLY!!! No sin..was Jesus’ true message. That what is truly meant when he said be not conformed to this world = sin = sinful nature. I command the blessing of the Lord on your household. Do not disrespect the anointing alaready in you! Oh, the Lord said to me that you have books in you, and in those books are wealth!!!!!! (that you will sell from your webcite) He is the A’men! Rev.3:14.
