Itty Bitty Kitties

Folks, you know I am a dog person, but a friend shared the link to this blog, and I just had to pass it along.

I was having a bad afternoon, but the pictures on the blog put a huge smile on my face.  I think they will do the same for you.

Many Hands Make Light Work

The kids are home!

Oh joy.

I don’t think they are very happy, but I am.  Beneath the frustrations that accompany the rearing of children lies a heart full of love for my babies.

I allowed Rooster to sleep until nearly 10:30 before waking him.  It was time to do some yard work!

Welcome Home!

I thought it would be a good idea if we gave some love to my much-neglected back yard.

The “before” photos…

Armed with my handy-dandy clippers, I made fast work of the trees.  Chicky dragged the limbs to the curb.  She had to make two piles.  The yard waste people are so totally gonna be done with me, eh?

Meanwhile. Rooster edged around the patio and scooped poop.

Guy Friend had come over, so he pitched in by raking the leaves and gathering them on an old sheet so he could carry them to the curb (smart one, that kid, eh?).

The heat and humidity made our chores miserable, and it seemed like we’d been out there forever!  However, when I checked the clock, we had only worked one hour.

I couldn’t believe it!  All of those hours I spent last week could have been shortened if only I had waited for the kids!

Oh well.

Here are the “after” pictures…

One of these days we’ll get grass.  Until then, this will have to do.
