Ok…lots of videos for you today. I can’t help it though!
I’m subbing for a history teacher for two days. Today was the first, and I pretty much knew the routine…movie and a worksheet. It’s the way she teaches. So, I figured I’d get in some good knitting time.
Not!
When I went to the workroom, I found the movie Casablanca.
Wow! I was thrilled! I’ve never seen it but heard so much about it over the years.
After admonishing the students to pay close attention (essay questions would be following the movie), we sat down and watched. We haven’t gotten through the entire movie yet, so I’m eager to see how things turn out (I sort-of know but not really).
Here’s one of the scenes I fell in love with today…
Ahhh…the good old days of movies without all of the skin and sex of today!

I’m surprised that the teacher can show movies in the classroom. That practice was banned in this area by administrators for about ten years.
I’ve never seen Casablanca: make sure you blog about your impressions.
Oh, watching movies has been allowed here for as long as I can remember. The teachers use them a lot to supplement their curriculum.
