Today is Black Friday — the biggest shopping day of the year. It’s the time when people take advantage of sales, knocking over one another to grab the perfect gifts for loved ones.
So why am I sitting here writing this post? Well, it’s because I’m content to just be.
I actually cannot stand to shop, and I like crowds even less. Why torture myself when I can be sitting home working on this:

You saw the empty cake plate the night before Thanksgiving. Well, I surprised my brother-in-law and made another one yesterday. There’s still a little left (the pictures above and below was what it looked like when I placed it on the table for Thanksgiving dinner).

I got up my usual time to go to work. It was only a half day but it was ‘life as usual’ in the midst of knowing others went out and shopped, spent time with their families But not home, we are awaiting time to go see some movies, one today, one tomorrow.
And about your Chocolate Chip Cake, can you send a slice my way? Or at the very least, can you share the recipe? Pretty please with sugar on top?

Got up early when Husband went to work, but quickly fell back asleep. No shopping this year for me… I used to do it – but with the economy – its hard for us this year… but I tell you what – I think I had the best black Friday ever just putting up the tree – lunch with a friend – & relaxing… dont get better than that!
