Wow! We’re home after an eight-day vacation. Well, okay…it was soccer-related, but that’s how it’s been for the last eight years. San Diego was beautiful!!! I never expected the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. It was truly amazing! Of course, we didn’t just watch soccer games. The kids went to the San Diego Zoo, we saw the beach at La Jolla, and we went to Sea World. Yeah, yeah…I know. I have Sea World right in my own backyard, right? What’s the big deal? Well, although I’ve lived in Florida for the last 17+ years, I’ve never been to some of the most famous sites in the state.
Here are some photos from our week…
This photo was taken from the Birch Aquarium near La Jolla.

This is the beach at La Jolla. There are some really nice shops and restaurants.

This was the dolphin feeding area at Sea World. I got to touch a dolphin! It was a neat experience!

This was at the Shamu Show at Sea World. The animals are awe-inspiring — so smart and beautiful!![]()
We fed sea lions. What a greedy bunch! A bird stole one of my fish after it barely left my hands! The bigger sea lions jump in front of the baby ones and take all of the food. It was humorous and sad at the same time.
